The three stolen celebrity sex tapes that changed society: "More people go to college"

Ray J, star of a famous sex tape with Kim Kardashian leaked in 2007, talks about the impact of that video on the porn industry and society

Pamela Anderson

Ray J believes his sex tape with Kim Kardashian altered the course of societal history and porn consumption, but some in the game say otherwise... highlighting Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee as the most original sex tape, and even the 2001 Paris Hilton sex tape leaked by Rick Salomon in 2004 and marketed as 'Night in Paris'.

According to the singer his 2007 sex tape with Kim Kardashian was the adult content that paved the way for the emergence of OnlyFans years later and changed paradigms in the porn industry.

"How different would we all be - and the industry? Everything would be different. There might not be Onlyfans and all that. All the opportunities like that. Probably more people would go to college," 'One Wish' singer Ray J told Shannon Sharpe on 'Club Shay Shay'.

Today's porn stars give more value to Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee's stolen sex tape

But Riley Reid, a famous contemporary model with over 2 million followers on OnlyFans, acknowledges the impact the Kim Kardashian and Ray J sex tape had, but gives more credit to the stolen and illegally traded 1995 sex tape of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee.

Riley Reid is quick to dismiss Ray J as an OnlyFans pioneer, noting that his sex tape with Kim Kardashian succeeded because of a combination of capitalism, greed and technology.

Porn actress Kaden Kole, meanwhile, stresses that the Ray J and Kim Kardashian sex tape was instrumental in making sex tapes more "socially acceptable."
