Joe Rogan became the cultural phenomenon he is today because of how popular his show became on Youtube. Throughout more than a decade of 'The Joe Rogan Experience', the comedian and UFC commentator used to all the episodes of his show on multiple platforms. But when he decided to make an exclusivity deal with Spotify for $150 million, everything changed because people who love using Youtube could no longer watch Rogan's full episodes in there. For a few years, there were only clips ed to that same from longer episodes. But a new dawn is here and somehow, Joe Rogan made an even better deal with Spotify and he is no longer exclusive for them.

What Joe Rogan and his team figured is that Spotify would still make hundreds of millions of dollars in earnings from his podcast regardless of that exclusivity. So, Joe convinced tham that he wanted to get a much broader audience by sharing his full episodes in other platforms as well. As a result, Joe Rogan is back to No. 1 and now he has an even wider reach. Currently, Rogan is the biggest podcast in the world and there is a good chance it will stay that way. Joe is so successful that he can even publicly place YouTube over Spotify as his favorite platform and nobody will tell him anything about that statement. He is making gang busters for every single platform.

It happened uring a recent episode of his podcast, Joe Rogan shouted out both YouTube and Spotify as his favorite platforms. But he did put one above the other: "They're awesome (YouTube), they're awesome. They have the best platform. I mean, it's the most accessible. It's so easy to share [content]. The sharing thing is huge because you don't really share Netflix movies and stuff. I tell people. Shoutout to [Spotify] for absolutely being the coolest and smartest people I've ever had the pleasure of being in partnership with. I'm very excited the podcast will now have a much broader distribution."
