- Celebs. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, a love story with tension: Two months until they break up?
A U-Haul truck was recently spotted outside Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's Beverly Hills mansion, signaling a significant development in their ongoing separation. Reports indicate that Lopez has decided to move out of the expansive estate, finding it no longer suitable or comfortable after their split.
According to People sources, the home, which was initially purchased to house their blended family, has become too large and emotionally overwhelming for Lopez. The singer has been actively searching for a new place since May but has yet to find the right fit.
In contrast, Affleck has already moved forward, purchasing a $20.5 million mansion in Brentwood on July 24, coinciding with Lopez's 55th birthday.
Mansion remains unsold
The couple, who officially separated on April 26, had originally bought the 12-bedroom, 24-bathroom Crestview Manor for $60.85 million in May 2023. The property, located on a five-acre lot, once represented their future together but now stands as a symbol of their past.
The mansion, currently carrying a $20 million mortgage, was listed for sale in July at $68 million, though it remains unsold. The estate includes several luxurious features, such as a 5,000-square-foot guest penthouse, a caretaker's house, and a guard house.
Lopez filed for divorce on August 20, a date that would have marked their second wedding anniversary. Without a prenuptial agreement in place, the assets they acquired during their marriage are subject to division as community property.
According to documents obtained by PEOPLE, Lopez cited irreconcilable differences as the cause of the split, with the separation date listed as April 26.
Lopez filed the paperwork without legal representation. The couple, who married in a Las Vegas ceremony in July 2022 and celebrated with a larger event in Georgia the following month, reportedly did not have a prenuptial agreement in place.
