As a result, SSI payments were deposited early, on Friday, May 30,to ensure recipients received their funds ahead of the weekend. While it may feel like you're missing a payment in June, in reality, it was issued in advance.

This change in schedule is not unusual. The Social Security istration (SSA) frequently adjusts payment dates when the first of the month falls on a weekend or a holiday. This ensures that recipients can access their benefits promptly, especially those who rely on these payments for essential expenses like rent, food, and medication.

Understanding the full June 2025 Social Security schedule

In addition to SSI recipients, those collecting retirement, survivor, or disability benefits under Social Security have different pay dates based on their birth date or the date they began receiving benefits:

• Those who started collecting benefits before May 1997 will receive payment on Tuesday, June 3.
• If your birthday falls between the 1st and 10th of any month, you'll receive your deposit on Wednesday, June 11.

Birthdays from the 11th to the 20th will see payment on Wednesday, June 18.

Birthdays from the 21st to the end of the month will get paid on Wednesday, June 25.
