Fitness influencer Vanessa Mariposa, known for her content promoting a healthy lifestyle, shared a traumatic experience in a video posted to her Instagram on May 26, she was drugged and robbed during a rooftop party in Mallorca, Spain.

In her testimony, she explained that she attended the event with a friend. Both felt safe and never left their drinks unattended. However, after a few glasses of wine, they suddenly started feeling extremely unwell. Vanessa lost the ability to walk, vomited several times, and completely blacked out an alarming sign that something was seriously wrong.

Later, the doctor found out that someone had slipped date rape drugs into their drinks. She was also robbed: her Cartier bracelet was taken off her wrist, and the SIM card was removed from her phone, something she believes was done to prevent her from calling for help.

In her message, Mariposa stressed that the situation could have ended far worse, which is why she chose to speak out and warn other women. She insisted that no one should trust blindly or ever take their eyes off their drink even a moment of distraction can make someone vulnerable.

"I'm convinced the people who did this had far worse intentions... otherwise, they wouldn't have drugged us or taken steps to stop us from calling for help," she wrote in her caption. Fortunately, a nearby friend noticed something was wrong and helped them get home safely. Still, the emotional impact and fear linger.

This incident highlights how vulnerable we can be even in seemingly safe environments and the importance of staying alert, especially while in a foreign country. While women are often at higher risk in these situations, it's essential to that anyone can be a victim of this kind of violence. The warning applies to everyone.
