The Los Angeles Dodgers received more bad news after many players have been injured. One more has been added to that list and it's a high-profile player, as starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow has been suffering from elbow problems that will sideline him for a while in the MLB season.

The team recalled Justin Wrobleski from Triple-A Oklahoma City and placed Glasnow on the 15-day injured list with right elbow tendinitis. He was supposed to pitch Friday against the St. Louis Cardinals but that did not occur even after he said to be feeling alright.

Although at first it was thought that Justin Wrobleski's call was to give Tyler Glasnow additional rest, the truth is that it turned out to be something worse, since the veteran has tendonitis in his right elbow and was sent to the injured list for a time that has yet to be determined.

The division is up for grabs

Tyler Glasnow has been the ace of the Los Angeles Dodgers rotation this season, posting a 3.49 ERA in 134 innings, which set his career high by 14 after throwing 120 last year. However, it will be the second time he has gone on the disabled list in his first season with the team. Additionally, Glasnow has struck out 32.2% of the batters he faced this season while only walking 6.7%.

This could take a big toll on the team's chances to win the National League Western Division once again. The San Diego Padres and the Arizona Diamondbacks started the day just three games behind them and in the standings.

Both the Padres and the Diaomndbacks have the best record after the All-Star break and things will get tight towards the end of the season, as these teams look to be serious contenders in the division and also in the league and the Dodgers could be in trouble.
