After the New York Mets started the 2023 MLB season with a 3-4 record, including a three game sweep by the Milwaukee Brewers, Steve Cohen, the franchise owner said it's foolish from those who worry about the team as the season has just started.
"It's foolish to make conclusions in such a short period of time," he expressed before the Mets Opening Day at Citi Field against the Miami Marlins.
Cohen also assured he's confident in the group of players that are in the team, adding that injuries might've riddled them but this is a solid team.
"It's only seven games. Long way to go. We've got a lot of injuries and obviously, that's a concern. We've got to get healthy. This is a veteran team, lots of depth. I'm excited by this team, and we'll see what happens," Cohen mentioned.
Steve Cohen will change ad on Mets uniform due to "Philly colors"
The New York-Presbyterian Hospital is having a patch on the Mets players uniforms, but unfortunately no one expected some blow back from the fans after the colors, ressemble their hated rival the Philadelphia Phillies, but owner Steve Cohen has assured they'll be changed to something more appropiate after he talked with the hospital's CEO.
"They're Phillie colors. And he agreed and I agreed they should be more Met-appropriate," Cohen said before Friday's game against the Marlins.
