Aaron Judge will continue his adventure in the Bronx next season, after coming off a historic 2022 MLB season with the New York Yankees, where he broke the American League home run mark, as well as being named MVP.
Now that Judge has signed a new contract with the team, his mind is set on 2023.
There are already predictions on how many home runs he will hit next season and the results are surprising.
How many home runs will Aaron Judge hit in 2023?
According to Baseball Reference, Judge's numbers should drop dramatically in 2023. In of home runs, they predict he will finish with 41, which is almost 20 fewer than this year.
But, that isn't the only statistic in which Judge's numbers should drop. They also estimate his average will be .288, down from .311 last season.
In of RBIs, there will also be a decline. He would go from 131 (MLB leader) to 99, a considerable difference from one year to the next.
Despite this, his team remain confident. The Yankees offered him a nine-year, 360 million dollar contract, and they also named him captain.
He was close to being a San Francisco Giants player, but Judge wanted to stay in the Bronx and try to lead the Yankees to their 28th World Series title. They haven't been MLB champions since 2009.
