The Oakland Athletics lost to the San Francisco Giants on Sunday at RingCentral Coliseum and the ball boy did something that highlighted the home side's struggles.
With a 41-68 record, the Athletics players seem uninterested at times and are arguably the worst team in MLB.
Now, their ball boy is showing them up on the field, proven Saturday when he hustled to grab a foul ball.
His swag and calm demeanor made him go viral, but the commentators noticed that the A's bullpen did not give him any props.
There is obviously no chemistry and it is looking like the team has given up on the season.
It also doesn't help that the entire Oakland squad earns less than what Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray will take in salary next year.
Should Athletics ball boy get a call up to MLB?
MLB Twitter loved the ball boy's hustle and some suggested he should get called up to the A's.
After all, how much worse could the situation get?
If anything, the ball boy's ion would insert some life to the walking dead of a team that is the Athletics.
He even had batting gloves in his back pocket, which means he's ready to take the field whenever he gets the chance.
For now, he'll probably keep showing up the A's, who will take on the Los Angeles Angels on Monday at 18:40 PT.
