- Daniel Suarez's NASCAR car catches fire in Daytona incident
Everyone knows that a racing event can be very fun and entertaining for fans as it brings everyone closer to the action and the ion of motor sports. However, it is also well known that it can be a dangerous event and on Saturday in the NASCAR Cup Series Coke Zero Sugar 400 in Daytona it was at evidence that happens.
It was a nasty race full of wild crashes, the first one featured Michael McDowell after his car was lifted in the air while crashing other vehicles during the night race leaving everyone worried, but that was not all.
Josh Berry's car was flipped in a violent way and after a couple of seconds of that, it crashed into the wall bringing everyone to their feet out of concern. After being asked by his team if he was alright, the driver answered positively.
A crazy night in Daytona
Not only did Josh Berry told his team that he was doing well, but he also climbed out of the upside-down car and gave the thumbs up to the crowd walking away without any injury and to the people's standing ovation.
But that was not all that happened in a crazy night in Daytona on Saturday. Daniel Suarez's car also had a big issue, as it caught fire as he was driving down pit lane with the rear of the car in flames.
Suarez somehow drove back to the pit box where the car fire was extinguished, and everyone was ok, but it was all part of a weird night if racing and the fans left very confused with what they saw all night.
