Deion Sanders' Colorado Buffaloes are set to take the PAC-12 Conference by storm in college football according to one of his close friends as Coach Prime looks to send his sons off to the NFL with a championship in the bag.

The Buffaloes started 2023 by rattling off three consecutive wins but it quickly soured for the team as they closed out the season with a 4-8 record (.333), whilst Shedeur Sanders was sacked a record amount of times.

So, for 2024, the 57-year-old boss has brought in six new offensive lineman to try to transform their fortunes at Folsom Field and Dewey Smith, one of his friends, feels this is absolutely a possibility.

"They don't understand that what they see is only a minuscule part of what we have," Smith told Thee Pregame Show on Saturday, August 10. "Destruction is going to be released on college football."

Smith also likened them to the two largest oceans in the world with an interesting analogy to explain the differences between 2023 and 2024 and the potential that the Buffaloes have heading into the new season, which begins on August 29.

"The Pacific Ocean is the largest of those bodies," Smith added. "It's the largest, it has a higher surface, so the Pacific is bigger.

"But the Atlantic is more salty, and it is more dense. They are different."

Shedeur Sanders tipped to star in 2024

Shedeur Sanders, the team's quarterback, was impressive through 2023 despite a lack of protection from his teammates as he recorded 3230 yards, 27 touchdowns and allowed just three interceptions through 11 games.

His completion was an impressive 69.3% from 430 attempts but he was sacked an astonishing 52 times (4.7 per game), preventing the Buffaloes from getting any serious momentum going.

But this is not expected to be a factor in 2024, with reports he's now improved his ing accuracy to 80% as well as the new personnel meaning he will be able to focus on making important plays.

"When Shedeur and Travis Hunter and Horn don't have to do f**king everything every week in order to win," Matt McChesney told The Coach JB and Big Smitty Show on July 19. "It will allow him to literally do anything on the field."
