The college football season got underway last week, but starting this Thursday will be when it all truly kicks off. Before we get to see the big games on Saturday, Thursday will feature the team with all eyes on it: the Colorado Buffaloes.
Deion Sanders should have his guys ready to go, especially considering there's a ton of pressure on the team following a poor 2023 season. With Shedeur Sanders a Heisman contender and Shilo Sanders patrolling the secondary, this season can be special for Deion and his sons. He should be excited about it, but there's one thing that's holding Coach Prime back from enjoying it so much.
Deion Sanders isn't ready to not coach Shilo and Shedeur
Appearing on Robert Griffin III's show, Sanders detailed how he feels ahead of the 2024 season.
This season is like, 'I can't wait for it to start but I don't want it to be over,' because this is it. This is it. You know, this is the last time Shedeur and I gonna make that walk at that last game. And that's going to be tough. Although I'm 100% sure that I'm not going to be their coach next year, I'm still gonna have influence on their lives because I'm their father.
Although the Sanders family is talked about plenty, what's not talked about enough is just how cool it is that Deion gets to be the head coach of his sons for a high-profile college football program.
It's a situation that fathers who are football fans could only dream about. Deion doesn't seem to take it for granted. What would make it all even better is a successful season for the team.
