UConn Huskies basketball star Paige Bueckers recently faced a troubling situation involving a fan who allegedly became a stalker and has since been arrested. The incident drew significant attention when a concerned individual on X highlighted disturbing comments made by a man on TikTok, who reportedly expressed intentions to harm anyone close to Bueckers.

The alarming nature of the posts quickly went viral, sparking widespread concern among fans for Bueckers' safety. Following the outpouring of worry on social media, it was reported that the man had been apprehended by authorities.

While the details remain somewhat unclear, other social media posts suggest that the fan, identified only as Cole, had taken his obsession to extreme levels.

Reports indicate that he had even gone so far as to create wedding invitations and a ring, imagining a fictional marriage with Bueckers. His erratic behavior and threats toward other fans added to the growing anxiety surrounding the situation.

Thankfully, the matter was swiftly addressed, with the individual being arrested before the situation could escalate further. The incident left many of Bueckers' fans shaken, as they voiced their concerns online about her well-being.

A UConn comeback

Meanwhile, Bueckers has decided to return to UConn rather than enter the 2024 WNBA Draft, a choice she revealed during the Huskies' senior night last season.

After missing the entire 2022/23 season due to a torn ACL, Bueckers explained that her decision was influenced by the desire to make the most of her college career, especially after such a significant injury.

Bueckers, who was previously named AP Player of the Year and Naismith College Player of the Year in 2021, remains one of the top players in college basketball.
