The 2025 College Football season is picking up steam, and the action is set to continue this weekend when the Nebraska Cornhuskers play host to the Colorado Buffaloes.
The game will feature a stellar battle at the quarterback position, with Shedeur Sanders battling the impressive freshman Dylan Raiola, who made headlines in his first start against UTEP.
Ahead of the game against the Buffaloes, Raiola heaped praise on Sanders, who is expected to be a top pick in next year's NFL Draft.
"Yeah I've never met him before, but I've watched him the past couple years and tremendous amount of respect for that guy," Raiola told reporters on Tuesday.
"What he has to deal with, with everything that comes with being a Sanders, I just have a lot of respect, how he's handled that. And I think he's an elite-level quarterback. And he's going to give us everything that we want and yeah, we've just got to prepare."
Sanders and Raiola start the season strong
Sanders is already living up to his preseason hype, leading the Buffaloes past North Dakota State in their opening while ing for 445 yards and four touchdowns.
"First round quarterback, the whole nine. So, respect him a lot, excited to compete," Raiola added.
However, Raiola was just as impressive in what was his first college start for the Cornhuskers.
The 19-year-old finished 19-of-27 for 238 yards and two touchdowns as Nebraska cruised to a 40-7 win over UTEP.
