Auburn, Duke, Florida, and Houston are the top seeds, but anything can happen once the tournament begins with the First Four on Tuesday and the first round on Thursday.

Key Games to Watch

No. 5 Seed Michigan: The Big Ten champions opened as a 2.5-point favorite against No. 12 seed UC San Diego, according to BetMGM Sportsbook.

No. 8 Seed Louisville: After a late-season surge in the ACC, Louisville faces off against Big East powerhouse Creighton.

Tournament Format

The tournament features 31 automatic bids, filled through league tournaments, and 37 at-large selections made by the NCAA selection committee. The bracket matchups, including all the surprises, were unveiled Sunday.

Tournament Schedule

First Four: Dayton, Ohio, on Tuesday and Wednesday

First and Second Rounds: Thursday and Friday, spanning from Providence, Rhode Island, to Seattle.

Sweet 16 Weekend: March 27-30 in Newark (East), Atlanta (South), Indianapolis (Midwest), and San Francisco (West).

Final Four: San Antonio on Saturday, April 5, with the national championship game on Monday, April 7.
