NFL reporters Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson have seemingly swept the fake sideline reports story under the rug by failing to speak about it during the latest episode of their "Calm Down" podcast on Monday.
Andrews, 45, recently went viral during her appearance on the "Pardon My Take" podcast because she itted to making up sideline reports back in the day. Thompson, 41, once itted to doing the same.
"I've said this before," Thompson said on the Barstool Sports podcast. "I haven't been fired to saying it, but I'll say it again. I would make up the report sometimes, because A, the coach wouldn't come out at halftime, or it was too late and I didn't want to screw up the report. So I was like, 'I'm just gonna make this up.'"
Her camp released a statement to explain what she meant, but Andrews has yet to speak on the comments.
Andrews, Thompson have a podcast for a reason
Andrews and Thompson claim that their podcast is "all about the conversations you would have with your friends when you think others aren't listening."
Nobody expected them to speak on the fake sideline reports during their television appearances, but the podcast is a different story.
Trying to sweep the story under the rug by just not mentioning it makes it seem like they knew it was wrong to make up sideline reports.
