The vibe in Dallas right now? Cautiously fired up.
Cowboys fans have seen enough chaotic offseasons to know that winning in March doesn't mean much in December. But 2025 has felt... different. From savvy free agent deals to a draft that plugged real needs, the front office seems to be playing chess-not checkers.
Adding guard Tyler Booker, edge rusher Donovan Ezeiruaku, corner Shavon Revel Jr., and running back Jaydon Blue gave Dallas a well-rounded, youthful boost. But one position still felt unfinished.
Then came the George Pickens trade.
Dallas landed the explosive wideout from Pittsburgh after a week of speculation, giving Dak Prescott another serious weapon. With Pickens ing CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks, the Cowboys now boast a top-tier receiving trio that can stretch the field and open things up underneath.
Micah Parsons' contract now becomes the story
That brings us to the last big question: when will Micah Parsons get paid?
The star linebacker-arguably the face of the franchise-has yet to sign a long-term extension. Reports suggest he's eyeing a deal in the neighborhood of $40 million per year. And while both sides appear motivated to get it done, no agreement has materialized yet.
There's no official deadline. But with training camp on the horizon, the situation is starting to dominate local headlines and fan discussion threads alike.
"Micah is the heart of this team," head coach Mike McCarthy said recently. "We want him here for a long time."
Until that ink dries, though, Cowboys Nation will keep refreshing their feeds.
With the roster mostly set, and the Pickens trade energizing fans, a Parsons extension would be the final stamp on an offseason that's flirted with perfection.
