While the NFL off-season goes on, teams are strengthening in free agency and the Draft is practically just around the corner, the many s who have fun in Fantasy are also making plans and predicting who will be the best elements for the new season.
In this scenario, and paying close attention to everything that happens around the different teams, the name of Malik Nabers stands out, a wide receiver who is beginning to be called the "WR 1" of Fantasy Football.
Jameis Winston makes his WRs grow up
After the New York Giants signed Jameis Winston, much was said about his quality as a real-time Quarterback. Maybe the veteran is not the best, but in of "Fantasy," he is the best at making his receivers grow.
As Sports Illustrated states, Winston, despite being an interception machine, has had a knack for helping open receivers score tons of PPR points in his career.
When he played with Tampa Bay, Mile Evans had top-10 results within his position, including a WR3 in 2016 and a WR9 in 2018. In 2019, Chris Godwin was the WR2 (played 14 games) and Evans (played 13 games) was the WR15 with the Giants' new QB at the helm.
Winston didn't play too many games with the New Orleans Saints between 2020 and 2023, but when he did have activity with the Cleveland Browns, his numbers to grow receivers in Fantasy came back. He helped Jerry Jeudy achieve his best season in the NFL. Jeudy recorded 90 total receptions, 1229 yards, and four total touchdowns, which allowed him to finish as WR12 with 240.9 PPR points.
During Jameis Winston's seven starts, Jeudy averaged seven receptions, 112.3 yards and 21.1 PPR points. During that span, Jeudy scored 147.6 points and was the WR5. Only Ja'Marr Chase, Puka Nacua, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and CeeDee Lamb scored more points in that span.
Malik Nabers may be the best WR option in Fantasy
This is where Malik Nabers, who we can project to have a super season in of Fantasy Football, enters the equation. The rookie was sixth in points among wide receivers with 109 receptions, 1,204 yards, and seven touchdowns in 15 games. Surprisingly, those numbers came alongside a quartet of Quarterbacks - Daniel Jones, Drew Lock, Tommy DeVito, and Tim Boyle.
This is a good bet for Fantasy Football s, pending the possibility of whether or not Shedeur Sanders can arrive in the first round for the Giants. Nabers may be the WR of the future, and all the outlooks seem to be in his favor.
Now... This is in Fantasy because there is no doubt that in real soccer it will be a tough season for the G-Men.
