If you were already a Game subscriber before, you can play the new DOOM: The Dark Ages for 'free' and save the 80 euros it costs. That's right, the new from id Software and Bethesda has already been added at no additional cost to the Xbox and Microsoft subscription service.
So much so that you can it right now. Undoubtedly, it is one of the big gs of the month, as well as one of the most outstanding releases so far this year.
And while it's true that it doesn't seem to have attracted as much attention as the strongest GOTY candidates of 2025 (Expedition 33, Kingdom Come 2 or Split Fiction, among others), it's still a great game. What's more, I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up nominated.

I understand that it is less innovative than these three games, but that does not detract from id Software. Once again, and without losing the essence of a saga that already claims to be legendary, they have managed to develop a tremendously entertaining shooter.
They've also managed to make it feel different from their most recent games. The addition of the parrys, the shield and other mechanics (such as the mecha sections or the cybernetic dragon) have done wonders for the game.
