It is widely considered the most prestigious tournament on the tennis calendar, so excitement is brewing ahead of opening day on Monday and many tennis fans are wondering how to get a ticket for Wimbledon 2023.
Wimbledon 2023 is set to commence on Monday, July 3, 2023, and will conclude with the men's singles final on Sunday, July 16, 2023.
How much do Wimbledon tickets cost?
With Wimbledon 2023 about to commence, tickets are now very hard to get and very expensive, reaching 5,000 dollars for the main session on the opening Monday.
But, when tickets initially went on sale, a spot at centre court on the opening day was just 80 pounds, which is 101 dollars.
Tickets for the men's singles final were 255 pounds at face value, which is 323 dollars, but now tennis fans would have to fork out much than that to acquire one.
Can you go to Wimbledon without a ticket?
The answer is no. According to the tournament's official website only fans who have tickets for Wimbledon 2023 will be allowed to enter the grounds.
"Entry to the grounds will only be authorised upon presentation of a valid ticket (which shall be electronic within 'myWIMBLEDON' which can be accessed at www.wimbledon.com or via the official application, owned and managed by the AELTC or, in limited cases, a paper ticket where expressly permitted by the AELTC in writing), or accreditation issued by or on behalf of the AELTC and valid personal photographic evidence of the type required by the AELTC from time to time, which shall include a driving licence and port," reads the official website.
