The long-awaited return to the octagon of Conor McGregor is nearby. He will be taking on Michael Chandler in a fight that has been cooking up for over a year and finally everyone gets to see the perform next month in an encounter that has seen bets come on and off in favor and against both fighters.

Preparation is key to perform at a high level in any fight, especially if someone has been away from the sports for while and discipline and work ethic is on the list of every fighter involved in an event of such importance as UFC 303.

However, some criticism towards McGregor has been shown because of recent publication of footage of him partying. In the video, the Irishman is holding something in his hand that allegedly is a glass and he drinks out of it. McGregor himself has said before that he has not had any alcohol in preparation for his fight, but speculation of him not owing up to his word has started.

Another UFC fighter trust Conor McGregor

UFC fighter Gilber Burns trusts the word and commitment of Conor McGregor, as he explained in a recent podcast appearance. "He's not drinking. I don't think he's drinking. He's playing the Ryan Garcia character, 100%," he explained.

The reference to Garcia has to do with Ryan's antics ahead of his match with Devin Haney. It appeared as if Ryan was not paying much attention to his preparation but when it came to the actual fight, he was able to defeat Haney in an upset.

With that said, Conor McGregor has been known for taking full responsibility for his training ahead of his fights in the past and if one thing is for sure is that he does not take his career lightly, therefore he might just be taking care of his body just like he says he is in order to have a good fight against Michael Chandler.
