Losing the UFC Middleweight belt for the second time made Israel Adesanya pause for a bit and understand that his body was already asking him to take a break. Fresh out of that historic knock out against Alex Pereira, Adesanya didn't seem at the top of his game from round 1 against Strickland and he paid a hefty price for it. Right after the fight, he was sincere about the feeling he had leading up to the fight and decided to take a break. Now that some time has ed, the Middleweight belt went from Strickland to South African champion Dricus Du Plessis, who has been going back and forth with Izzy for years. It's a fight everybody wants to see and Adesanya seems more than ready for it.
Israel Adesanya's impressive ody transformation
Since he took his break, Israel Adesanya took his time to return to training camp and he does seem more than ready for this new championship bout. Counting well, this will be the 12th straight title fight Israel Adesanya will be a part of. Still far from Jon Jones' 16 title fights, Izzy is looking to keep making history and obviusly winning his belt back to where he feels it belongs. If he wins against Dricus, Izzy will be hunting for Demetrious Johnson's 13 consecutive title fights in UFC history. After that, only Jon Jones will be left to reach in the UFC history books. Regardless of how this plays out, Adesanya already secured himself a spot on the UFC's Hall of Fame.
But we gotta talk about his body transformation, his muscles and strength seem a lot more defined than they were right before the fight against Sean Strickland. There is a comparison image from Happy Punch that shows exactly how impressive Adesanya's work has been leading up to this fight. We all know how impressive this Middleweight can be. Du Plessis is also well aware that his belt is at stake here and he will do everything in his power to beat Adesanya. As far as the fans go, this fight is one they had been waiting for years to happen. They are finally going to get it.
