- UFC. Khabib's startling confession about Conor McGregor: I really wanted to bite someone's heart
- UFC. This is the only fighter who has faced both Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor
From the Michael Chandler vs Conor McGregor blue balls galore fight that still hasn't happened, we can definitely say that the person with the most patience in this drama has always been Michael Chandler. He's always stayed ready during the almost two years since this fight was teased. While Conor McGregor has been partying and enjoying his hundreds of millions of dollars, Chandler has only had time for his training and his family while the actual fight takes place. But we can ll see how waiting for so long is already starting to affect Chandler. During this time, he's not taken a single fight waiting for Conor McGregor and avoided earning more money while he is still on contract.
Granted, Chandler was also part of the previous season of The Ultimate Fighter series and likely won a pretty penny. But even Chandler knows that if this fight doesn't happen before the end of 2024, he needs to start looking for a new opponent. A few weeks back, Dana White announced that Conor would probably not fight this year and that got Chandler to call it quits before putting himself back in the conversation. He is well aware of how much money he will earn if he fights the biggest star in UFC history. Because Conor McGregor may not be the GOAT but he is the biggest star.
Michael Chandler's challenge to Conor McGregor
Chandler appeared on a podcast where he is inside the sauna at 185 degrees and as he turned bright red, he started talking about his potential fight with Conor. As far as we know, Dana White still hasn't spoken about the pressure he's getting from both Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler to make this fight happen before the end of 2024. This is what Michael Chandler said: "I'm not gonna ever play the victim... with all due respect, I'm ready to put you behind me. I'm ready to put you flat on your back in the middle of an octagon... and I can walk out of that octagon and never have to think about you again."
