Devin Haney and Shakur Stevenson can't stop insulting each other in latest social media beef

It's only a matter of time before these two step in the ring for a real fight.

Shakur Stevenson has never been short of confidence and has never backed down from calling other fighters out. His latest target is undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney, and the two have history.

Back in July, Stevenson rejected an offer to fight Haney, citing the 25% of the purse he would get for the fight as being way too low. On early Monday morning, the two re-sparked their feud.

Haney responded to a video of Stevenson hitting the host of a YouTube show with body shots during a fake sparring session, calling Stevenson "corny". Stevenson replied by taking a dig at Haney's father/trainer, to which Haney responded with a brutal assessment of Stevenson's mother. Stevenson took the insult personally.

Warning: Strong language used.

It's one thing to argue on social media and call each other out, but Haney and Stevenson appear to truly dislike each other.

Hate isn't enough to put a proposed fight over the finish line, but it may be in this situation.

Is a fight possible soon?

Having defended his lightweight titles three-consecutive times, Haney is looking for the toughest challenge of his career. Stevenson definitely qualifies, but the number has to be right for both parties.

Stevenson has his eyes set on a mega-fight, and has even floated the possibility of a matchup against Gervonta "Tank" Davis in the near future. He may need to go through Haney before that comes to fruition, though.
