UFC heavyweight star Tom Aspinall has issued his verdict on the notion of Carl Froch fighting YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul.

Paul is awaiting his fight with Mike Tyson after defeating Mike Perry, continuing to fight former boxers for the most part as he looks to cash big checks and work to earn respect as a professional boxer. The new date for the Tyson fight is now November 15.

Jake Paul attempts a dangerous stunt showing his athletic prowess

A number of veteran boxers have been tipped to fight Paul after his Tyson fight, and Froch has now put his name forward.

But UFC star Aspinall, who is hoping for a fight with Jon Jones, has told Froch he is above a fight with the YouTuber.

"If you want my honest opinion I think you are above that I don't think you should not do it (fight Jake Paul)," he said, as per Essentially Sports.

Froch then jumped in and replied: "And I won't want to get punched in the head by anybody who would seriously punch because my health is more important. But I just think Jake Paul is fuc**g easy work mate."

After giving such a bold response, Froch backtracked a little and said: "In all honesty, he is better than I originally, thought but if you compare him to like an actual boxing world champion..."

Paul 'not a professional'

Aspinall went on to criticize Paul and his fight shape. He said: "My only beef with Jake Paul is he can't fight, he can't call himself a professional boxer. He's not even in shape. He looks fleshy. I don't even know if he takes the training that seriously ... It's ridiculous."

Paul has had 11 professional fights so far, winning 10, and seven of those were by knockout. But his only loss came against the only natural boxer he has fought, with the rest made up of current and former UFC stars, and other athletes that have turned into boxers.
