LA Galaxy gets in the fight after beating San Jose Earthquakes with an agonizing winner

The Leagues Cup Match Day 2 continuedon Wednesday with multiple games across 15 different groups that have all MLS teams competing against all LigaMX teams for the Leagues Cup. Practically everybody who is following this tournament is praying that Leo Messi recovers in due time to face Tigres from Monterrey. San Jose Earthquakes were coming from an agonizing victory against Chivas from Guadalajara. The 90 minutes ended with a 1-1 draw and San Jose won the game from the spot with a final score of 3-4. That gave San Jose three points and some leeway to still have a chance at winning Group B. But for the second game, Los Angeles Galaxy entered the chat.

Galaxy opens the score with a Fegundez screamer

After 40 minutes of back and forth, Los AngelesGalaxy finally broke the lock with an absolute beauty from Diego Fegundez. He released a well-placed shot from a weird angle that gave Galaxy the advantage just before half time. With 15 minutes left in the second half, the equalizer finally came after a gross defensive mistake from LA Galaxy players. Jeremy Ebobisse ceased the opportunity and scored the 1-1 for the Earthquakes. But the game would take us to a theilling ending where one of the two teams finished with a defeat. Coming in from the bench, Miguel Berry scored the 1-2 that gave Galaxy the victory.

Will 'Chicharito' play against Galaxy next week?

We are all waiting to hear good news from Leo Messi's doctors, everybody wants to see him play against Tigres. But there is another match up that people are waiting to see, which is Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez meeting against with his former team. Currently, he is recovering from an injury as well and his participation in this game is not certain. Doctors have told him he needs to evaluate the injury day by day. Chivas has no other choice but to win this game if they want to have a chance to continue playing the Leagues Cup. Can they beat Galaxy or will they not even make a single point?
