Ben Affleck is one of the most famous actors in Hollywood and the world. His filmography is endless and, consequently, his wealth is also. However, Jennifer Lopez's ex-husband is clear that, despite having a lot of money, it is important to keep your feet on the ground. And this is precisely what he does with his children, whom he has forced to work so that they give value to money.

Currently, only her two eldest children work: Violet, 19, and Fin, 16. "My two oldest kids work. In fact, one of them just got one, the typical teenager who works in a store. But I won't say which one," she said in her latest interview with 'Today with Jenna & Friends'.

Ben Affleck: "Once you work 1,000 hours, you may not want to spend that on sneakers"

This confession has come about because in recent times, Ben Affleck has been the subject of much criticism for buying his young son Samuel a pair of sneakers worth $6,000. What people don't know is that it wasn't a simple gift. "I said, 'You're going to have to mow the lawn for a long time.' He said, 'We have the money,' to which I said, 'I have money, you're broke," he explained.

"I said to him, 'If you want them, you can work 1,000 hours. You know what I mean? At minimum wage. And once you work 1,000 hours, you might not want to spend that on a pair of sneakers," added the star of 'The ant 2'.

"You love your kids. You want to give them everything and do everything for them, but I think you definitely do them a disservice by not doing it. If you want something you want, you have to work for it," Affleck said, making it clear that it's important that they are aware that "you have to earn a living."
