Despite previous speculation, Donald Trump has decided not to pursue deportation for Prince Harry, citing his "warm relationship" with King Charles as the key reason.

The U.S. President had previously hinted at the possibility of removing the Duke of Sussex due to ongoing legal battles over his immigration status.

However, in a recent interview Trump dismissed the idea.

"I don't want to do that. I'll leave him alone. He's got enough problems with his wife. She's terrible," Trump detailed to the New York Post.

While his jab at Meghan Markle was consistent with his past remarks about the Duchess, sources claim his decision is more about preserving diplomatic ties with the British monarchy.

Respect for King Charles

According to The Sun, Trump is aware that any move to deport Prince Harry would cause distress to the Royal Family, and out of "respect" for King Charles, he has chosen not to act.

"Having him back in the UK is actually harder than having him kept away in the USA," an insider explained.

Trump and King Charles formed an unlikely bond during Trump's first term, particularly during his state visit to the UK in 2019. The two leaders, despite differing views on global issues like climate change, reportedly maintained communication.

Trump has openly expressed his iration for King Charles. After the monarch survived an assassination attempt in September last year, Trump sent a message of . He also congratulated the King a day before his official coronation.

When Charles publicly revealed his cancer diagnosis, Trump responded.

"KING CHARLES HAS CANCER. HE IS A WONDERFUL MAN, WHO I GOT TO KNOW WELL DURING MY PRESIDENCY, AND WE ALL PRAY THAT HE HAS A FAST AND FULL RECOVERY!" Trump posted online.

Trump's connection with the British Royal Family dates back to his presidency. In 2019, he and his wife, Melania, had tea with then-Prince Charles and Camilla at Clarence House, where they reportedly struck up a "warm" friendship.

Trump has never hidden his disapproval of Meghan Markle and has previously criticized Prince Harry.

"Harry is whipped. He is being led around by his nose."

Despite his criticism of Meghan, Trump has refrained from taking action against Harry-likely because of his ties to King Charles.
