It's crucial for the British Royal Family to be united on all fronts; not only for appearances, but for the sake of the United Kingdom and for the family itself. It seems like they can never find peace, particularly since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from royal duties five years ago.

But the Royal Family has worked hard to repair its image and heal wounds since then. Making matters more complicated were the cancer diagnoses for King Charles and Kate Middleton. Those shook the family to its core, but both have rebounded extremely well and do well to look as strong as ever in public appearances. Perhaps the most important piece to the puzzle, though, is Prince William. With Harry out of the picture and Charles' health still in question, William is closer to the throne than ever before.

Therefore, it's important for him and Charles to be as united and close as possible. That's exactly what they showed on Friday, in a special service that occurs every four years. This one was particularly special, as it was the 300th anniversary of the Order of the Bath. And it was a truly special one for William.

During the service, William received a new title from his father. William, the Prince of Wales, was installed as Great Master of the Order, a role previously held by Charles. This was Charles' first Service as sovereign.

Charles and William, at least in the past, would have loved for Harry to be a part of something so near and dear to the Royal Family like this. Instead, Harry watches from afar while continuing to deal with controversies.
