Prince Harry's lawyer worried about him: "His life and safety are at stake"
Actualizado

Prince Harry appealed the decision of the United Kingdom's Home Office, as it drastically reduced the level of police protection he receives when visiting the country. This was carried out by the Executive Committee for the Protection of Public Figures and Royalty, a body that works closely with the British ministry.

All this, they say, is because the prince "no longer carries out official functions within the royal family and lives in the US with his wife Meghan Markle and their children after abandoning his royal duties five years ago, in 2020."

Well, the latest hearing was held at the Court of Appeal in London and Prince Harry's lawyer, Shaheed Fatima, said that this matter of Harry against the British government goes beyond the personal: "His life and safety are at stake". In addition, Harry was also present at the sessions.

This is how Prince Harry's lawyer defends him: "This matter is being dealt with in a bespoke way"

During the hearing, Fatima said the following about the process regarding this decision: "It is being dealt with in a tailor-made approach, but clearly deficient compared to other similar cases".

"The presence of the prince in court demonstrated the importance this matter has for him and his family, beyond the legal aspect."

Likewise, on behalf of the UK Government, lawyer James Eadie appeared in his defence, defending the position of the Executive Committee for the Protection of Public Figures and Royalty: "Decisions on protection are made on the basis of objective security criteria, even national security. The person responsible for the measures taken is Yvette Cooper". In this way, after this last hearing, it is expected that the court will have the final say on the matter in the coming weeks, although they have already said that it will not be until after Easter.
