- NCAA. Olivia Dunne's LSU coach concerned after Gymnastics 101 event: They looked scared and timid
Olivia Dunne, one of the most celebrated names in college gymnastics and a standout figure in the NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) era, has officially graduated from Louisiana State University (LSU). The 21-year-old gymnast received her undergraduate degree in interdisciplinary studies during a commencement ceremony on Thursday.
Dunne, who has made headlines both for her athletic achievements and her business acumen, celebrated the milestone in true "Livvy" fashion - with social media posts that had fans cheering her on.
Proud moment
Dunne shared her excitement with her 10 million-plus followers on TikTok and Instagram, posting celebratory photos and videos of the big day. The images featured her in a striking purple cap and gown, holding her diploma with pride.
Another shot showed Dunne beaming as she stood outside LSU's iconic Tiger Stadium, while a third captured the exact moment she was handed her diploma onstage.
"Forever LSU... now time for grad school," Dunne captioned her TikTok post, hinting at her next academic move.
The message made it clear that while her undergraduate journey is complete, she's not done with higher education just yet. The gymnast's Instagram also featured the words "Forever LSU," a motto that echoes the deep connection she has with the school that has become synonymous with her brand.
The LSU Gymnastics Instagram shared its congratulations for Dunne and fellow teammate Alyona Shchennikova, who also graduated this week. "Happy Graduation Day to these two," the team posted, acknowledging the hard work and dedication of its student-athletes.
Dunne's path to graduation hasn't been a typical student-athlete experience. Over the past two years, she has become one of the most marketable athletes in the NIL space, reportedly earning an estimated $9.5 million since NIL rules were changed in 2021.
Her partnerships with major brands like Vuori, Motorola and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit have positioned her as one of the most successful NIL athletes in the nation.
