The quarterback for the Washington Commanders, Jayden Daniels, made an impressive mark in the NFL in 2024. The LSU product led his team to the National Conference final, which they lost to the champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, suring all expectations and establishing himself as a respected voice in the league.
Daniels threw for over 3,500 ing yards and nearly 900 rushing yards. He was named Offensive Rookie of the Year by the AP and earned a selection to the Pro Bowl. Jayden received a rating of 89.6 from Pro Football Focus, making him one of the highest-rated quarterbacks, and he was recently asked about the NFL Draft.
Jayden Daniels sent a strong message to all rookies in the next Draft
Daniels spoke with John Gruden on Barstool Sports and warned all the rookies about the key to becoming a successful player in the NFL.
"I think the main thing I would say is you have to earn everything," Daniels said. "It doesn't matter where you were drafted, you still have to come in, and as soon as you're selected, as soon as you walk into that locker room, you have to earn the respect of your teammates, especially the veterans. They've been doing it at a high level for some time, so they're going to look at you and say, 'Okay, what's this guy made of?' So just come in, keep your work ethic, and earn the respect of the veterans."
Jayden Daniels is absolutely right. He quickly became a superstar in the league and, most importantly, earned the respect of the entire NFL. Now, hearing him speak about the future generations shows that we will have a leader for a long time.
It certainly won't be easy for Daniels next season, as he plays in the NFC East, where he'll continue to face contenders like the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys. Although the Cowboys have many holes, they're a franchise that always fights hard.
