- NFL. Dallas is preparing a low blow against Kansas City: It is eyeing the best OT available in the 2025 NFL Draft
- NFL. Dak Prescott once again sets an example with his total involvement with the Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys' plans for the draft are not exactly known, but most have a general idea of where the franchise is headed based on conversations with team personnel, scouts and just about anyone else you can think of.
Dallas' biggest need right now, I think, is a receiver, with CeeDee Lamb the only legitimate target for Dak Prescott. Running back is another need, with Miles Sanders and Javonte Williams at the top of the roster.
Will Dallas prioritize the offensive line or a receiver?
But we've been hearing more and more rumors about Dallas considering the offensive line, with Todd McShay suggesting that the Cowboys select Donovan Jackson in the second round.
Now, in a pre-draft conference call, NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah gave his opinion on what the Cowboys might do.
"I think they need to upgrade the receiver roster, no doubt," Jeremiah said. "However, when talking to people around the league about the Cowboys, it's expected that they will have worked a lot on the interior offensive line."
Does that mean the Cowboys will choose Zack Martin's replacement? No.
But there is growing interest from the Cowboys in selecting a lineman at No. 12, although the prospect of where that would leave the space at the receiver position is unsettling.
Would there be many legitimate receivers for the No. 2 spot in the second round when Dallas picks at No. 44? Perhaps Luther Burden III, if Dallas is lucky, or Jayden Higgins, but the Cowboys would be asking a lot of the football gods.
Yes, the offensive line on the right side may be a bit unknown with Brock Hoffman and T.J. Bass, but at the receiver position, it's Lamb or nothing.
So while the offensive line is an option, the wide receiver position is certainly a priority here.
