Ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft, several players are dreaming of making the jump to big teams. However, there are also several farewells.
Such is the case of Colorado Buffaloes, who as a tribute, decided to retire the numbers 2 and 12 to honor the age of Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter by the team.
On this occasion and showing the postcards left by the event, Shedur's brother, Deion Sanders Jr, made a great prediction about the future of his brothers, based on a biblical text:
Sanders name will be legendary for generations to come - "I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe." John 14:29
And it's not just Shedur who has his sights set on the draft, but also his brother, Shilo. He began his college career at the University of South Carolina, went on to Jackson State, and eventually ed his father Deion Sanders' ambitious 2023 draft in Colorado as a starting safety.
Shedur, meanwhile, came up through Trinity Christian High School, spent two seasons at Jackson State University under his father's tutelage, and then ed Colorado, also in 2023. Today, after two years as a Buffalo, the quarterback has more than 7,300 yards, 64 touchdowns, and was recognized as the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year.
The career of "Coach Prime"
Deion Sanders was able to win two Super Bowls in his 14 years as an NFL star and also excelled in Major League Baseball, being the only athlete to play in a World Series and a Super Bowl.
In January 2023, he took over as head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes and shares his experience and wisdom with his two sons.
A family of talents
In addition to Shilo and Shedeur, the Sanders family includes three other siblings: Deion Sanders Jr., who played college soccer at SMU and today leads urban fashion and social media projects. The sisters also dabble as communications director for a sports agency in the case of Deiondra Sanders and Shelomi Sanders is a point guard for the Alabama A&M women's basketball team.
