The Las Vegas Raiders, and possibly Fox Sports, would like you to believe that Tom Brady doesn't have major input in the decisions the organization's front office makes. That may be partly true, given that he's technically just a minority owner and doesn't have a specific role within the franchise, but head coach Pete Carroll recently mentioned that he speaks frequently with Brady. Brady's "philosophy" is something Carroll takes to heart.
With both Brady and Carroll's philosophies melding together, it was no surprise at all to see the Raiders draft Ashton Jeanty at sixth overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. The legendary running back out of Boise State is set to be the centerpiece of the Raiders offense, just as Marshawn Lynch was when Carroll dominated the NFC with the Seattle Seahawks. Jeanty was one of the most NFL-ready prospects in the draft, which is great news for a Raiders team that needs to turn its fortunes around quickly.
Kay Adams calls Ashton Jeanty a "star" at Panini America event
As if Jeanty's collegiate production and prospect profile wasn't already elite, even national media can't help but praise him. NFL media personality Kay Adams couldn't help but gush over Jeanty on Saturday.
Adams' comment came while she was at a Panini America event with some of the major rookie draft picks. The comment kind of came out of nowhere, as there was no accompanying photo or video of Jeanty. She was, likely, simply gushing over his aura and personality. The event allows rookies to be themselves and let loose a bit more than usual.
Jeanty has already impressed many in the Raiders organization during rookie camp, particularly in practices. Expectations are extremely high for him given he was the sixth overall pick, which was high considering the running back position has become devalued a bit over the past few years.
