In what has been a milestone year both on and off the field, Jacksonville Jaguars rookie Travis Hunter added another chapter to his life story by marrying his longtime girlfriend, Leanna De La Fuente, aka Leanna Lenee.
The couple tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at "The Barn" at Faith Farms over the weekend, with friends, family, and fans celebrating a love that began back in high school and endured through Hunter's rise as a college football superstar at Jackson State and Colorado.
A mother's blessing focused on God and the sacred bond of marriage
Known for her spiritual and inspirational presence on social media, Edmonds posted a powerful reel on Instagram offering marriage advice grounded in faith.
"Marriage is a triple-braided cord. It is a trifold covering, three strands: you, your spouse, and God," the message began, emphasizing that a successful union is not merely a legal document, but a sacred bond created and held together by divine purpose.
"This is the reason why I get so upset when people say marriage is simply just a piece of paper. God is a witness... God is holding your marriage together. Without God at the center of your marriage, it will fail.
"The enemy hates marriage because it multiplies power and purpose. If you don't have God at the center of your marriage, your marriage is going to be vulnerable.
"It's really hard for the enemy to unravel those strands during the attack because you have God in it."
Their romance wasn't always in the spotlight. According to Leanna, it began with a direct message from Travis-one she didn't even open for months because he was already in a relationship.
When they finally did connect, things moved quickly. They went public in March 2022 and got engaged in February 2024, just before Valentine's Day.
From college games to the NFL Draft, Leanna has been there every step of the way.
But the wedding wasn't without controversy. In what many considered a grand romantic gesture, Travis gifted his new bride a Mercedes-Benz AMG G63 Brabus 800, a luxury SUV with a price tag exceeding $200,000.
While many applauded the sweet surprise, others on social media accused Hunter of "showing off," arguing that such an extravagant gift sent the wrong message.
