The stage is set for Super Bowl LIX, with the reigning champion Kansas City Chiefs facing the Philadelphia Eagles in a highly anticipated rematch of Super Bowl LVII. Kansas City edged out Philly in that thriller, 38-35, and history favors them again--teams that won the first matchup in a Super Bowl rematch hold a 6-2 record.
This game also features a rare quarterback rematch, with Patrick Mahomes looking to continue the trend of previous winners going 2-0. Similarly, head coaches Andy Reid and Nick Sirianni meet again, and past patterns suggest Reid holds the advantage.
Kansas City's offensive line will have its hands full with Philadelphia's top-ranked defense, led by dominant tackle Jalen Carter. The Chiefs may counter with quick es, allowing Mahomes to spread the ball around. Travis Kelce remains a key target, needing just three catches to sur Jerry Rice for most Super Bowl receptions.
The Eagles, however, have a game-changer in Saquon Barkley, who's been unstoppable in the playoffs. Kansas City's defense must contain him to force Jalen Hurts to win with his arm.

Nikko Remigio breaks off a solid kickoff return, and the Chiefs will start this drive at their own 33.
That is Jalen Hurts' fourth rushing touchdown in five Super Bowl quarters. His one-yard "run" has given Philadelphia a 7-0 lead -- though the Chiefs won't be worried, seeing as they rallied from a 10-point deficit against the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII.
