The city of Kansas City is preparing for the third consecutive year to celebrate theSuper Bowl title, something that has never happened before in the history of the NFL and would become the first three-time champion in the Super Bowl era. However, should the Kansas City Chiefs achieve the feat, this time the celebration would have to be without the traditional parade
While the city is preparing for the celebration, this year it would be held with partial participation of the Chiefs players, although no further details have been shared about the preparations for what has become an annual tradition in this region of Missouri.

As a result, one person, identified as Lisa Lopez-Galvan, 43, died. She was a Kansas City-area DJ and mother of two who attended the parade with her husband and young adult son. Also 22 other people were injured in the ceremony held on February 14, 2024, after a dispute between several people

The Chiefs' parade if they win the Super Bowl
For this year, city officials have said they want an event with far fewer people crowding the streets and therefore planned an exclusive event for players and their families at Arrowhead Stadium before the possible champion's parade begins
Fans will be able to watch the celebration on screens placed along the parade route before the team es by.
Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas explained to local station KCTV on January 29 that any type of parade will be different from previous editions for safety reasons and also to differentiate it from previous editions:
"Our goal is to make the event as safe as possible, keeping in mind that there are always realities in life that can be difficult," Lucas said in late January. "We will make sure it is fun for everyone."
Normally, preparations for such events must be made months in advance and several cities whose teams advanced in the playoffs had to analyze these preparations in case they were able to celebrate the Lombardi Trophy with their fans
Therefore, fans are expected to only be able to quickly mingle with their players as they drive through the streets of the city in a few seconds.
