When you think of Tom Brady, the first things that likely come to mind are his great moments as an NFL quarterback, which led many to consider him the greatest player in history.
Tom Brady won seven Super Bowls-six with the New England Patriots and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers-in addition to countless awards, records, and more. However, everything comes at a price, and the quarterback from Michigan had to endure many hits throughout his long NFL career.
Despite all the hits he took, Brady was rarely injured during his career. The most memorable injury came in Week 1 of the 2008 season when, during a game against the Kansas City Chiefs, he was hit and tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), causing him to miss the entire season.
Who was Brady afraid of?
Throughout his career, Tom Brady was sacked 565 times in 335 games as a quarterback, and several of those hits are still fresh in the memory of the former New England Patriots star.
On the podcast "IMPAULSIVE" with Logan Paul, Brady revealed the players he feared being hit by:
"A lot of guys," said Brady. "Ray Lewis was at the top. Ndamukong Suh, I didn't like getting hit by him. J.J. Watt wasn't fun to get hit by. Haloti Ngata. him? He weighed like 340 pounds, played for the Ravens-he was massive. So yeah, that's not fun."
The truth is, 565 sacks in 335 games is a remarkably low number for such a long career, reflecting his ability to get the ball out quickly, read defenses, and avoid unnecessary hits. It's also worth highlighting the offensive line built for him by the Patriots, which was undoubtedly key to Brady developing his game and having such a successful career.
Brady had a 251-82 record as a starting quarterback and set all-time records for ing yards (89,214) and touchdown es (649).
