In families with more than one child there is often a debate about who the "favorite child" is. While the answer almost always ends with "there is no favorite," Deion Sanders does know where his sons rank.
Coach Prime, who steals headlines every time he appears for years now posted a series of photos on his official Instagram in 2022 congratulating Deion Jr. on his birthday.
So far, nothing to report. However, Sanders stirred the waters by saying that Deion Jr. was his "#1 son and #1 on the kid rankings currently."
Behind Deion Jr. followed Shelomi, Shedeur, Deiondra and Shilo. However, this list tends to change over time to the relief of the Sanders children, especially Shilo, who was ranked last.
Where do his siblings rank for Shilo?
In a recent live broadcast via YouTube, Shilo was asked who of his siblings was his favorite and he ranked them as follows:
Sibling ranking for this month: Shedeur number one. Deiondra number two. Bucky [Deion Jr.] number three. Shelomi number four. There. Y'all got it. Y'all could clip it. Send it to them, I don't care. It could change... every month, we gonna do a sibling ranking.
In part, Shedeur's choice in the first place is not surprising as the two spent a great deal of time working out together at Colorado Buffaloes prior to the 2025 NFL Draft. There, their paths diverged after Shedeur was selected by the Cleveland Browns at 144th overall and Shilo was not selected by any team until the Tampa Bay Buccaneers added him to their roster after the event ended.
"He's been missing me. He's been calling me in the morning. He'll call me at like 6:00 a.m. cause we're on the same schedule right now, actually," Shilo told reporters, adding "he wants some brotherly love...his big brother's not next to him no more in practice."
Shedeur is battling to be QB1 for the Browns, alongside Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel. While Shilo currently Tampa Bay's fourth-string backup free safety and has an arduous road to travel before making the Bucs' roster. Although both have big challenges ahead of them with their team, their brotherly love and off the field remains as strong as ever.
