Elon Musk says his new Starship rocket will reach Mars in 2026 and sets date for human travel

Elon Musk has a clear goal. Beyond ing Donald Trump's team in the White House and acting as the absolute owner of X, his main purpose is another. Musk dreams of making space travel a reality like the recent one made by Jesus Calleja. There is still a long way to go, but the American businessman does see trips to Mars as closer.

The SpaceX founder has already set a date for the trip to our neighboring planet. Thanks to his Starship mega-rocket, it is estimated that they will be able to leave for Mars at the end of 2026. In addition, he assures that, on board the ship, there will be an Optimus humanoid robot, manufactured by Tesla.

Dates for Mars trip and human space travel, according to Elon Musk

"Starship will leave for Mars at the end of next year, with Optimus on board. If those landings go well, landings with humans could begin in 2029, although 2031 is the most likely date," Elon Musk detailed on his own social network.

However, Elon Musk's ultimate goal is not to get to Mars. The American entrepreneur has in mind to make it possible for humans to travel to space like someone traveling from Madrid to New York. He even dares to put a date on this feat, as we mentioned earlier. Will it be possible to start a new decade traveling into space on a rocket?
