- Gaming. Everyone thought Zelda 2 made a mistake, but it was intentional and now it's part of its culture
- Gaming. Neither GTA, nor Skyrim, nor Zelda Breath of the Wild, this is the best open world game I've ever played
Sometimes the most obvious things escape us. This is exactly what happened to me with Pokemon. And the animators didn't intend to hide it. It was there, in plain sight, and they actually intended for us to notice. Nevertheless, I never noticed it, and I discovered it purely by chance: through a Reddit thread from more than 10 years ago.
Many of you will know Jessie, James and Meowth. The original Team Rocket (from the anime) have been with us for years. Along with Ash and Pikachu, they are some of the most frequently appearing characters in the series.
Their motto is part of Pocket Monster culture and they are much loved. What I didn't know is that Jessie's hair is part of Team Rocket's slogan. That's right: the fact that her hair has such a peculiar shape is more than just something striking.
Jessie's hair forms an R in Pokemon and I didn't notice it until now
Why? Because his hair forms an R when he poses with James or when he is in a certain profile. Once you know it, it's very obvious, but I will say in my defense that his hair does not always appear in the same direction and that the curve is not always so pronounced. However, there are images where it is very obvious.
If you take a look at the montage I have attached, you can see it more easily. In the different images I have selected, you can see very clearly how Jessie forms an R. However, we can also find many images where this is not the case, as her hair is facing the other way.
I don't know if this is a slip-up by the animators or if it was done intentionally, since we can find many images of his hair looking in different directions. Either way, it's a very curious detail and a very clever way to give the Team Rocket a little more identity.
