Naomi Osaka recently took to TikTok to address and dismiss rumors that she is expecting her second child.
The 26-year-old tennis star responded to a comment from a follower who speculated that she was "expecting again" and wished her "many more."
In a candid reply, Osaka clarified her situation.
"I just wanna say, I'm not preggos, but if I was, I wouldn't want many more because giving birth was traumatic," Osaka explained.
"But thank you, though, for your blessings."
Osaka had a traumatic experience with her first child
Osaka gave birth to her first child, a daughter named Shai, with rapper Cordae in July 2023. The birth was a challenging experience for the new mother, as the umbilical cord was wrapped around the baby's neck, leading to what she described as the "worst pain of her life."
In a December 2023 interview with InStyle, Osaka opened up about her difficult pregnancy, emphasizing how little people talk about the challenges of pregnancy.
"I don't think people know how hard pregnancy is. No one really talks about it as much," she detailed to InStyle.
In the same month that Osaka discussed her tough pregnancy, rumors began circulating about a possible split between her and Cordae.
Despite the speculation, Osaka chose not to address these rumors publicly, and there is still no clear explanation on the stability of their relationship.
Naomi Osaka and Cordae have been romantically linked since 2019. The rapper itted in a 2021 interview with GQ that he wasn't aware of Osaka's prominence in the tennis world when they first met.
"It's not my sport," he said.
He then continued to explain how his tennis knowledge only extended to Venus and Serena Williams, two of the biggest stars ever to feature in the women's game.
