UFC legend Mark Coleman shares heartbreaking of how he rescued his parents from their house fire

UFC Hall of Famer Mark Coleman is no longer intubated and is breathing on his own after inhaling smoke while heroically saving his parents from their house fire.

Coleman greets his daughters at the hospital and as they hug him he tearfully gives thanks for being alive and for being able to save his parents even though he couldn't breathe.

Coleman had to be airlifted from the scene after suffering severe smoke inhalation, the cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed, fortunately firefighters were able to contain the flames that started in the kitchen.

Hammer, Mark Coleman's dog that saved family from dying in fire

Hammer the dog, Coleman's best friend, was the first to alert the fire. Hammer woke Mark and alerted him that the house was on fire. Coleman then saved his parents and pulled them out of the house one by one. When Mark returned to the house to look for Hammer, he could not find him. He collapsed in the flames while trying to locate him. Unfortunately, Hammer didn't make it.

But thanks to his warning, his family was able to be rescued from the fire. Hammer died saving his beloved family, he is a hero.

Although Mark Coleman has shown great improvement, his daughter Kenzie indicated that they still have a long road ahead of them and thanked them for the and love they have shown her father in recent days.

Mark Coleman, 59, is a former Pride FC and UFC heavyweight champion. He won the belt at UFC 10 and then repeated as monarch at UFC 11. In 2008 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame as one of the best fighters in the category.
