- UFC. McGregor charges at Topuria: F*ck him, he's not a champion
When Ryan Garcia tested positive for performance enhancement drugs, there was a Conor McGregor rant that was immediately deleted by the Irishman that splattered Sean O'Malley. The bantamweight UFC champion calle out Conor for going after him and challenged him to fight inside the octagon. Now that some time has ed, McGregor confirmed this was only a misunderstanding and O'Malley was collateral damage of his attack against Ryan Garcia. for McGregor, staying at odds with some of his peers is what sells his branding and keeps the public interested. So naturally, he wasn't going to back down completely from what he said that was eventually deleted.
During a recent livestream session, he answered the reason he wrote that against O'Malley. Saying: "Fight everyone and anyone, at any given moment. That's what I've done. And then since then, he went and fought Petr Yan, he went and fought Chito Vera, Aljamain Sterling. And you know, he done it, he showed it, you know. And I was happy with that. It is what it is. Whatever! You can't be cheating and using performance-enhancing drugs in competition. And, you know, O'Malley, he has been a good friend, he has been nice to me. And I know I motivated him to come take up this career, as I've done to many people. So, you know, we'll figure it out. We'll take off the gloves and fight, b**ch. And we'll figure it out, yeah. And we'll see then what's what."
Conor McGregor holds his desire to drink beer
Another fun moment from that live stream showed how much Conor McGregor struggled to not take a zip from a beer he was holding in his hand. As many of you may know, Conor has an Irish stout beer company and he is always talking about it. During his live stream, the former UFC champion grabbed a filled pint to promote it with the audience. At a certain moment, he nearly got to take a zip from it but he recalled he is currently in camp when he was about to do so. You could see the face of disappointment for not being able to have a drink. But if he wants to return to full force in the UFC, McGregor needs to stay disciplined.
