The New York Jets' Sauce Gardner is kicking off their AFC East rivalry with the Buffalo Bills by taking aim at Josh Allen over Hailee Steinfeld's steamy scenes with Michael B. Jordan in the Sinners movie.

The NFL MVP and AFC Championship runner-up is engaged to the 28-year-old actress but has to put up with watching his fiancée get intimate with other men, although it is just part of the job.

And that's no different in Ryan Coogler's horror movie, which has proved to be a huge hit with the audiences and scores a 98% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes with an average rating of 8.8/10.

Perhaps an uncomfortable topic for someone so prominent in the public eye as the quarterback at the Highmark Stadium, fans have wasted no time teasing him about the film and now so are his NFL colleagues.

"Out of respect for my dawg Josh, I will not be going to see Sinners," Gardner joked on social media about Steinfeld's role in the popular movie alongside Jordan, who starred in Black Panther too.

The post on X.com, formerly known as Twitter, earned a huge 76,000 likes on Elon Musk's platform and proved to be a big hit with the NFL community, who ed in on the jokes.

One commented, "Josh already getting cooked."

A second added ironically, "You're a good man Sauce."

And a third noted, "don't tell me my cb1[cornerback] is a cuck bro."

Allen reacts to Steinfeld's Sinners role

For his part, the 28-year-old NFL star, who is still chasing his first Super Bowl championship, has seen the movie and knows exactly what Steinfeld's character is up to.

But rather than show any signs of jealously, he actually gave his fiancée a glowing review as he s her in the role that could catapult her to the very forefront of the Hollywood scene as the new star.

"Yeah, it was awesome. It was a different world, a very cool experience," Allen told reporters. "I'm so excited for her and so proud of her.

"It's getting some great reviews, it's a fantastic movie. Go watch it."
