Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles and NFL safety Jonathan Owens have spent much of their marriage navigating a long-distance relationship but now they get a chance to be together in 2025.

Since their wedding in April 2023, the two have juggled careers that keep them in different cities as Simone chases down gymnastics glory whilst Owens bids to inspire the Chicago Bears to Super Bowl stardom.

But the new year marks a new change and their efforts to remain connected are bearing fruit, with several t appearances and travels demonstrating a new chapter of togetherness.

From a long-delayed beautiful honeymoon in South Africa to appearances at the Kentucky Derby and the Met Gala, Biles and Owens are finding new ways to bridge the distance between them.

Their long-awaited honeymoon to South Africa in February became a turning point. Biles shared a photo on social media showing the couple surrounded by luggage, captioning the image with a tone of relief: the trip had finally begun and so had their lives married.

Then in April, Biles attended a baby shower in Austin, Texas for her friend Kayla Simone. She documented the road trip and arrival with enthusiasm as her man ed her.

Next came a trip to the Kentucky Derby, dressed in coordinated lilac ensembles that made an impression at Churchill Downs on another memorable afternoon for the couple.

Finally, their presence at the 2025 Met Gala on Monday, May 5 confirmed they're still managing to find the time to be together amid their professional careers.

"Just being with my husband," Biles said, of what made it special. "Because again, we're a little long distance so we don't get to do events like this.

"It's been a fantastic week. Anniversary is tomorrow. A good start. Anniversary today.

"The Met Gala. Only because I train for the Olympics for my whole entire life and this is just like a one-day event."

It's unclear how long they will continue spending time together before their professional ambitions come knocking once again, but Owens is due to report back to the Bears on June 3 for a mandatory training camp.

It remains to be seen whether Biles will him in the Windy City as she enjoys a break from her successful efforts at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, .
