After being selected in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins, Quinn Ewers posted an emotional farewell to his college days, which quickly drew heartfelt from his girlfriend, Madelyn.
The 21-year-old quarterback, who was picked 231st overall, shared a series of photos on Instagram on Monday, celebrating his achievement with a short but meaningful caption: "Dream come true. Excited to get to work down in Miami!"
Among the flood of congratulations, it was Madelyn's reaction that caught special attention. She commented under his post with a simple yet powerful three-word message: "Proud of you!"
However, Madelyn didn't stop there. She took to her own Instagram to express just how much the moment meant to her, posting a longer tribute to Ewers and his incredible accomplishment.
"So incredibly proud and overjoyed!! Quinn, you are so deserving of this and a whole lot more! You're the most driven, dedicated, and genuine man both on and off the field. I'm so excited for this journey and to watch you live out your dreams. GO DOLPHINS!! Miami ain't ready," she wrote.
Ewers closes a remarkable college chapter before heading to the NFL
Quinn Ewers' path to the NFL wasn't a straight line, but it showcased the perseverance and development that have now earned him a place on a professional roster.
He began his college football career at Ohio State in 2021, but after limited playing time, transferred to the University of Texas in 2022 - a decision that changed everything for him.
In his first season with the Longhorns, Ewers threw for 2,177 ing yards, demonstrating flashes of the talent that made him one of the nation's top quarterback prospects out of high school.
His 2023 season saw him elevate his game even further, posting a career-high 3,479 ing yards. Ewers maintained his high level of play in 2024, adding another 3,472 yards to his total.
By the time he finished his college career, Ewers had amassed an impressive 9,128 ing yards, securing his place among the notable quarterbacks in Texas football history.
