Super Bowl LIX will see the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles play for a place in history, with big names like Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley all taking the field.

Those names, along with plenty more, means Sunday's game will be a star-studded one for football fans, and will give those watching for the first time can see some of the best players the NFL has to offer.

However, as is the case with the Super Bowl, the entertainment doesn't end there, as a 20-time Grammy winner - Kendrick Lamar - will take the stage at halftime and deliver a 13 minute performance.

Lamar, who will be ed by SZA, is one of the biggest names in the music scene, and because of that, you can understand why some players would try and catch a peak of the performance.

Back in 2022, Bengals kicker Evan Mherson and long snapper Clark Harris were spotted on the field during the halftime show which featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent, Mary J. Blige and Lamar.

The Bengals ended up losing the game 23-20 and special teams coordinator Darrin Simmons made it clear he wasn't happy with his players.

It's no surprise then that Chiefs and Eagles players made it clear their focus is on the task at hand, and not the Super Bowl halftime show, when asked about.

Both teams are focused on the task at hand.

"I don't think I'm gonna find out," Eagles punter Braden Mann stated when asked what his coaches would think if he stayed on the field for the halftime show.

'I'm gonna be in the locker room for that one."

Cornerback Kelee Ringo had a similar response when asked.

"I don't even have words for anything like that," he said when told what Mherson and Clark did. "I don't even know. Like honestly, anything that's said after that, you have to expect that. Like that's just diabolical to me. That makes no sense to me."

As for the Chiefs, Mahomes stated he is a fan of Lamar's latest album, GNX, while Travis Kelce had a tough time naming his favorite song by the rapper.

Lamar is coming off winning five Grammys last week, while his Drake diss track Not Like Us continues to attract listeners.

Nevertheless, Eagles defensive end Thomas Booker IV noted that ultimately the team goal, winning the Super Bowl, is what is most important.

"I've loved Kendrick's music for a while. I'm also a fan of SZA too," said defensive end Thomas Booker IV.

"But you know, we came here for one reason and one reason only, to leave this with the W. So let's focus on that."
