Montoya: "Norris must tell Max 'f*** you, I can crash with you and nothing happens"

Juan Pablo Montoya, former F1 driver and now the happy father of a future F1 driver (Sebastian, who races in F3), reviews the current state of the World Championship, which he talks about as he drove, without mincing his words.

"There is a lot of exciting stuff going on, especially the Lando and Max incidents. I thought Lando was going to step up and take Max out, he has to do it because I think Max is taking the mickey out of how far he takes things. The only way to stop him is to run him over," said the Monaco GP and Indianapolis 500 winner.

"Max has to know that he has something to fear from Lando. When Carlos Sainz bombarded him, he didn't give him any chance to fight. Lando has too much respect for him, which is not a bad thing. He's a great guy and just wants to race clean, but you can't do that if you're competing with someone like Max, who doesn't race clean. That said for us, watching it is amazing. It's great TV," he told Instantcasino.com

"It's surprising that Lando gets out of the way. Max is the bully, he's more used to guys like Lewis Hamilton, who wouldn't stop in front of him. And he has two approaches: if he's desperate for pace, as he's been with the Red Bull, Max can try to run over Lando and crash, or if he doesn't have the position to do it, he'll just roll over and take the points. That's all he has to do. It will be difficult for Lando to win from this position," he adds.

You can't try to fight for the championship against Max with Lando saying how much he respects him and that he's the best driver in the world.

"I like Lando a lot, but he has to talk a little less and not play the victim. You won't win by playing the victim. You might win some battles, but you're going to lose the war. You can't try to fight for the championship against Max with Lando saying how much he respects him and that he's the best driver in the world. At some point Lando has to stand his ground and say: 'F*** you, I can crash into you and it's OK'.
